Ms. Trout is President/CEO of Alternative Dispute Resolution Forums and provides services in Las Vegas, Nevada,  Los Angeles, California, Columbus, Ohio, and Anchorage, Alaska.  She has worked in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management for over twenty-five years, and has served in the capacity of attorney, arbitrator, mediator and trainer in dispute resolution.

Ms. Trout has served on ACR's Board of Directors and Executive Committee and has held the officer position as board secretary and treasurer, respectively.  She is currently a member ACR's Finance Committee, and also serves on ACR's Audit, Standards, Ethics, Human Resources and Certification committees. Ms. Trout is an adjunct professor at DeVry University where she teaches negotiation, managing conflict in the workplace, ADR theory and practices, principles of  ethics, critical thinking, business law, business policy, and the legal, political and ethical dimensions of business.  Formerly a board member, treasurer, and president-elect of the Academy of Family Mediators, Ms. Trout is also former chair of ACR’s Family Section (2002-2003), past-president of the Los Angeles Chapter of ACR, and former co-chair of ACR's 2003 Annual Conference, and board liaison to ACR's 2005 Annual Conference.
